I treated myself to a full set of Panpastels! 🙂

So, in-between commissions I've been painting some seascapes - two are of Saundersfoot (one through the tunnel at Coppet Hall) in Pembrokeshire, Wales, UK and the one on the easel is Worms Head, Gower, also in Wales, UK.

Over the years we have spent many a few hours looking at those stunning sunset skies - especially the ones over Saundersfoot beach! Mostly enjoying a tipple or two from our favourite table in the Old Chemist Inn.

They are all 20 x 16 inch on different papers as I'm experimenting with the Panpastels (Pastelmat, Canson Mi Teintes & Velour). They were started en plein air and are currently being finished in the studio - so works in progress! I'll get there!

Oh heck it's here again! The time of year where we all struggle to find the 'perfect' pressie for the man/men in our life!

We want to show our love, affection & appreciation by buying them something special - but what? What the heck do you get him this time?

Things to shave with?

Anything to do with beer or BBQ's?

More DIY tools?

Things to make them smell a bit better?

Of course there's always socks, pants or ties!!

Or you could commission a portrait painting of their favourite person, pet or place? Guaranteed to be a totally unique gift! None of the 'boys' will have one the same - each & every one is as individual as they are!

If it's one of mine you are after then you need to be ordering now to make sure you get it in time for the big day on the 21st June! Get in touch!

I've been upgrading my website!

It's time consuming when you are doing it yourself - but also strangely satisfying! A lot to learn!

One thing I wanted to do on it is to create a 'quiet place' - a sort of 'In Memoriam' page.

So many people commission me to paint portraits of their beautiful, much loved pets that have passed away.

Each and every one really tugs at my heartstrings - because I know that sense of loss so well!

We love them so much - then far too soon we have to let them go x

I've published the page already - it's called 'Across the Bridge' after the poem we all know.

I've started to put some portraits up and people can leave their own message - if they wish to.

So far the feedback has been 100% positive and I have no doubt I'm going to be kept busy over the next few weeks
