What next?
-
If you have any queries or want to go ahead and order - simply contact me to discuss!
-
Send me your favourite PHOTOS of the subject!
-
Please note these need to as good quality as possible. The more detail I can see, especially around the eyes/facial features, the better the portrait will be!
-
Tell me all about their personality - this helps me get to 'know' them so I can capture their character in the painting.
-
I know that sometimes a much loved pet or family member has passed away and you may only have one or two precious photos. If so I promise I will do my utmost to give you the very best portrait under the circumstances
.... and then?
-
When your decisions are made and I have what I need I will go ahead and make a start on your painting.
-
At this stage I will need a 50% deposit that can be paid by Bank Transfer or Paypal
-
I will send you a WIP (Work in Progress) photo when the portrait is almost complete so you can have some last minute input or make small adjustments. Once this is approved the next time you see your portrait is when it's delivered!
-
Portraits can take several weeks so it's important to let me know if you have a deadline!
Some T&C's?
-
Once you have paid your 50% there is no cooling off period as your portrait is bespoke/custom made.
-
If you change your mind for any reason your deposit will not be refunded and I am unable to accept returns. To reassure you I can honestly say I have NEVER had a dissatisfied customer! My work is excellent quality and I can guarantee that the portrait will accurately reflect the images I receive - or in most cases improve on!
-
Postage will include insurance. The onus is on the customer to claim.
-
Final payment including P&P must be made before I post or the portrait is collected.

About me!
Very long story cut short!
I recently retired from a long career in the Arts & Cultural Sector. My last job was 15 years as a project manager and lecturer in a University faculty of art & design. Alongside that, for many years, I taught mixed media drawing and painting to a variety of people & groups - as well as working in the arts in health and community sectors.
I first graduated with a BA (Honours) Visual Arts degree in 1996 and went on to gain my Masters in Fine Art in 2011
I have been a practicing artist for well over 40 years! I have spent many, many hours drawing from life - taking inspiration from the world and the people around me.
Now my time is spent doing pet portraits, people portraits and landscape commissions - and I couldn't be happier! I love everything about art and I enjoy experimenting with various media like pastels, watercolour, acrylics and oils.
I'm simply passionate about creating paintings for people to cherish & enjoy - for me there is nothing more rewarding!
